Would you like to become a Benefactor of

The Festival Players' future tours?

Become A Benefactor

The Festival Players has been touring theatre to regional and rural Britain for more than 30 years.  The Festival Players is funded only through ticket sales and private donations - it manages to cover the costs of actors’ wages, fees, production expenses, transportation, printing, accommodation, and publicity, but there is little left to expand and develop the work of the Company.

We can’t ask you to sponsor a seat or a brick, because we don’t have any, but to help fund an extension of our touring theatre over the coming years, we are asking for the help of any of our friends and supporters who might be able to offer a little financial sponsorship for upcoming productions.

For a minimum donation of £60 we will list your name on our web site, and as a mark of appreciation we offer benefactors a commemorative photograph of our touring productions, signed by all the actors.  Along with the photograph you will receive a voucher for a free programme, and all Benefactors names will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win a pair of tickets to a Festival Players performance of your choice.

We appreciate all support we receive from the patrons of our productions each year, and remember - actors in our touring productions often go on to greater things.  Who knows what your signed photograph might be worth in the future?

If you wish to become a Benefactor please send a cheque, payable to Festival Players to: Maxine Ford, Administrator, The Festival Players Theatre Company, 18 Barlow Close, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, GL10 3QP, or e-mail: enquiries@thefestivalplayers.co.uk

Please write on the back of the cheque how you would like your name(s) to appear on the web site.  If you include your e-mail address, we will send you an e-mail to acknowledge your donation with a link to the Benefactors list online.  (If you are currently a Friend of Festival Players and have paid your subscription, you can upgrade to a Benefactor for as little as £25!

DONATIONS

The Festival Players Theatre Company is a company limited by guarantee - no 3534390.  We have no shareholders and any profits generated from performances are put back into the company to help us expand our work.  We are not VAT registered and each party is responsible for its own VAT arrangements.

INCOME & EXPENDITURE

Each tour generates sufficient revenue annually to cover actors’ salaries and production costs; but the Company relies on grants, donations and individual and commercial sponsorship for capital purchases such as the stage, lighting equipment and transport. The Company has recently received Arts Council funding for the purchase of a new Steeldeck stage. The Festival Players would like to hear from any individual, company or organisation interested in supporting its expanding programme or by hosting a performance - visit the book us page.

CHARITY INVOLVEMENT

Performances at many of our venues are held in aid of charity. For example, a charity in Gloucestershire for their first event with the Company held a performance on a village green and their share of the takings for the evening amounted to £840; a performance in a private garden for a local charity raised £728; and a performance in a London square for local charities raised £1400.
